Who was William Miller?
William Miller was an American soldier, attorney, timberman, and politician. He served as a general in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War. One of the few Northern-born Confederate generals, he led the reserve troops of the state of Florida and won one of the South's last victories of the war at the Battle of Natural Bridge.
