Who was William W. Chisman?
William W. Chisman was a Union Army soldier during the American Civil War who received the Medal of Honor for gallantry during the Siege of Vicksburg on May 22, 1863.
Chisman joined the army from Wilmington, Indiana in August 1862, and as mustered out in June 1865.
