Who was Abraham Weiss?

Abraham Weiss, professor of Talmud at Yeshiva University in New York is best known for his contribution to the development of the scientific study of Talmud. A noted Talmudic scholar, both in the traditional and academic sense, he is credited with delineating a methodology for a critical textual based study of Talmud.
