Parks was born in 1969 in north-east England and studied English at the University of Leicester. She has sold over a million copies of her novels in the UK and her books have been translated into over fifteen languages. Husbands has sold over a quarter of a million copies. Her other six novels, including Playing Away and The Other Woman’s Shoes, have all been top ten bestsellers.
