Who was Albéric Clément?
Albéric Clément was the first marshal of France under Philip Augustus, appointed to that position in 1185. Alberic was the lord of Mez cave in the Gatinais. He accompanied Philip on the Third Crusade but died at Acre on July 3, 1191.
