Who is Alita Fahey?

Alita Fahey is a former TV actress and reporter who appeared on Simon Townsend's Wonder World, The Ossie Ostrich Video Show and the children's show Antenna. She also had roles on The Restless Years and Sons and Daughters and The Boy in the Bush. Alita appeared in many Australian films and commercials and went on to form her own production company which specialised in Children's Musical Entertainment and Theatre in Education Shows for schools. She is an accomplished singer/songwriter and was nominated for the best children's song in the 2010 Tamworth Songwriters Association awards. Alita won 5 Federation Awards in 2010 with her co-writers, teen country trio 'Brothers3' and then went on to be a finalist in the 2011 TSA Awards.

Alita has sung professionally for many years both in Australia and overseas. She is a recipient of the TSA Songwriters Awards 2012 for Best Children’s Songhttp://www.tsaonline.com.au/?page=73 and a finalist in the Australian Songwriting Competition for Best Australian Song 2011 and Best Children’s Song 2012 http://www.asai.org.au/contests/. Alita also was a runnerup in the USA Songaplooza Songwriting Competition 2012 for her song Vodka and Pen which she co-wrote with Colin MacKenzie. She is an avid songwriter, director and musician.
