Who is Allen Bestwick?
Allen Bestwick is an American sportscaster who is currently working as lead play-by-play voice for University of Connecticut women’s basketball telecasts for SNY, the lead track announcer at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and the lead broadcaster for the Superstar Racing Experience racing series. Bestwick was ESPN's lead pit reporter turned commentator for NASCAR races televised by ESPN, ESPN2, and ABC, between 2011 to 2014, as well as the lead commentator for ABC's coverage of the IndyCar Series which he took over in 2014. Since 2007 Bestwick has been with ESPN in some capacity, serving as then-host of NASCAR Countdown from 2008-10. Prior to this, Bestwick was best known for being NBC's lead NASCAR voice as well as Turner Sports' lead voice.
