Who is Ana Maria Brânză?
Ana Maria Brânză, also spelled Brînză, is a Romanian épée fencer born November 26, 1984 in Bucharest. She won the silver medal in the individual épée event at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games and the gold medal in the 2013 European Fencing Championships. Twice World champion and four-times European champion with Romania, she came first in the overall women's épée World Cup in 2007–2008, 2008–2009, and 2012–2013. She is current number one in the FIE world rankings.
