Who is Ana Mato?
Ana Mato Adrover is a Spanish politician. Since 2011 she has served as Spain's Minister of Health, Social Services and Equality in the current People's Party government.
Ana Mato is the subject of controversy regarding her alleged involvement in the Gurtel case. She maintains that she was unaware of the origin of gifts to her household, including a Suzuki Swift, which have been identified in investigations into alleged corruption. She has continued to receive the backing of Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy.
