André Alexis is a Canadian writer who grew up in Ottawa and currently lives in Toronto, Ontario.
His debut novel, Childhood, won the Books in Canada First Novel Award, and was a co-winner of the Trillium Award. In addition to his writing, he is a member of the editorial board of This Magazine.
