Who is André Walker?

André John Paul Walker is a political and media figure from the United Kingdom.

Walker was the presenter of Channel M television's political talk show, Gloves Off, in 2004. He co-presented a late-night show on the political internet-TV stream 18 Doughty Street, and has appeared on a number of radio and television channels, including BBC Two, BBC Radio Five Live, ITV and Channel 4. He has also written for The Guardian.

A member of the Conservative Party, Walker was an Executive Committee member of Conservative Way Forward. He also served on the first elected National Management Executive Committee of Conservative Future from 1999–2000, and as Chairman of Greater Manchester Conservative Future. He stood unsuccessfully as a Conservative candidate for the Wigan Council in 2002 and 2004. He has worked as a press officer and political aide for the Conservative group at the London Assembly, and for the local councils in Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham, and Windsor & Maidenhead.
