Who is Andrew Corran?

Andrew John Corran was a first-class English cricketer. After starting his career at Gresham's School, Holt, and at Oxford University, he moved to Nottinghamshire, for whom he played between 1961 and 1965. He was the club's captain in the 1962 season.

In the 1960 Oxford and Cambridge 'Varsity match, Corran took twelve wickets for 116 runs. Also in 1960, he played for the Gentlemen in Gentlemen v Players.

A schoolmaster, he took a job in Australia in 1965 and thus ended his first-class cricket career. From 1968 until retirement he taught cricket at Cranleigh School.
