Who was Anne Beale?
Anne Beale was a popular Welsh novelist and poet.
She was born in Somerset but lived at Llandeilo in Carmarthenshire from 1841, until she moved to London, where she died at 68 Belsize Road, South Hampstead. As well as her girls' stories and a volume of poetry, she contributed Welsh interest articles to English magazines.
