Who is Anna Wood?

Anna Wood is a Dutch-born Australian sprint canoer who competed from the early 1980s to the early 2000s. Competing in four Summer Olympics, she won two bronze medals in the K-2 500 m, earning them in 1988 with the Netherlands and 1996 with Australia.

Wood also won eight medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with three golds, four silvers, and a bronze.

She also represented the Dutch kayak team from 1983-1989.

Wood's husband, Steven, won a bronze in the K-4 1000 m event at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. She was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder 1990-1994.
