Who is Avery Saltzman?

Avery Saltzman is a Canadian actor and theater director. He is Artistic Director of the Harold Green Jewish Theatre. Saltzman was born and reared in Toronto.

Saltzman is considered to be one of Canada’s leading character actors. Ted Pappas, artistic Director of the Pittsburgh Public Theater has called Saltzman a theatrical Swiss Army knife, capable of whipping out whatever tool is necessary to communicate the nuance in any role. The Pittsburgh Post Gazette calls Saltzman “an artist capable of understanding and communicating the humanity in the most inhumane of conditions.”
