Who is Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar?
Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar is a Nepalese politician and chairman of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum, Democratic. He was the deputy prime minister in Baburam Bhattarai's cabinet.
In April 2008, he won the Sunsari-3 seat in the Constituent Assembly election with 23769 votes. Gachhadar was previously in the Nepali Congress and Nepali Congress, and was Minister of Water Resources. Gachhadar was formally expelled from the Nepali Congress in March 2008, by that time he had already joined MJF. He was subsequently appointed as Minister of Works and Transport and sworn in on August 22, 2008.
He contributed to establish Madhav Kumar Nepal's administration, and on June 4, 2009 he was appointed as the deputy prime minister of the cabinet.
Again as per the poll in the cabinet, he was again appointed as the deputy prime minister and Ministry of Home Affair of the government led by Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai.
