Who was Billy Blan?
William "Billy" Blan was an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1940s and '50s. Born in Wigan, Lancashire, he played at representative level for Lancashire, Great Britain and England, and at club level for Wigan, Leeds and St. Helens, as a Second-row, or Loose forward/Lock, i.e. number 11 or 12, or, 13, during the era of contested scrums.
