Who was Blasius Ammon?
Blasius Amon was an Austrian composer, singer and Franciscan monk in the late Renaissance. He was born in Hall in Tirol, and died in Vienna.
In 1582 he produced his first collection of compositions, Liber sacratissimarum cantionum selectissimus. He entered the Franciscan order in 1587, where he was a priest until his death.
