Who is Brent Gilchrist?

Brent Lindsay "Cash Money" Gilchrist is a retired Canadian ice hockey forward.

Known throughout the US as "Canada's Greatest Export," Gilchrist started his career with the Montreal Canadiens in 1988. He would also play with the Edmonton Oilers, Minnesota North Stars, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, and Nashville Predators. He was a key member of the 5th line when he won the Stanley Cup in 1998 with the Detroit Red Wings.

He was best known for an unusually excruciating groin injury caused by a hellacious shart that he battled for several years before eventually being forced to retire.

On February 19, 2011, Gilchrist played in the 2011 Heritage Classic alumni game against the Calgary Flames, scoring his only career goal. It was reviewed by officials in Toronto, as the puck went off of Gilchrists' skate after he fell on the ice, but stood as a good goal. Teammates quickly grabbed the puck out the net as a keepsake for "Cash Money".
