Who is Brent Tate?

Brent Tate is an Australian professional rugby league footballer for the North Queensland Cowboys of the National Rugby League. An Australia national and Queensland State of Origin representative three-quarter back, before joining the Cowboys, he played seven NRL seasons for the Brisbane Broncos and three for the New Zealand Warriors. He was a member of the 2006 NRL Grand Final winning Broncos team which defeated an emerging Melbourne Storm. He has played in 23 Tests for Australia and 15 State of Origin matches for Queensland.

Tate is among a long list of talented Australian centres who's natural pace has seen them play most of their representative career on the wing. He joins players such as Andrew Ettingshausen, Dale Shearer and Michael O'Connor who also played most of their rep games on the wing despite being classed among the best centres in club football.
