Who is Brian Douglas Bell?

Brian Douglas Bell is a New Zealand environmental consultant and ornithologist. He worked for the New Zealand Wildlife Service 1957-1987 on the management and conservation of threatened species and was awarded the Queens Service Medal in 1984. He is a member of the Royal Australasian Ornithologists Union, and was elected a Fellow of the RAOU in 1990. He was President of the Ornithological Society of New Zealand 1975-1980 and 1989-1995. Awarded the OSNZ Falla Memorial Award in 1987 and elected a Fellow of the Ornithological Society of New Zealand in 1998.
