Who is Brian H. Strom?
Brian Strom has devoted the majority of his
career to the telecommunications industry, most recently as president
and CEO of SureWest Communications, where he transformed the company
from a residential phone company into a leading broadband
communications services organization. He served in this position from
1993-2005 and also served on SureWest's board from 1993-2006. From
1989-1993, Brian served as CF) of Roseville Telephone Company, the
processor company to SureWest. Before that, he was a partner at Arthur
Young Co. (now Ernst Young). Brian has also been active in
the telecommunications industry, serving as presidentof USTA from
2003-2004, chair of California Communications Association (CalCom) from
2001-2002 and with several other organizations. In 2002, Strom was
honored by the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce as
Businessman of the Year. In 2001, he was recognized by the Roseville
Chamber of Commerce as Businessperson of the Year.
