Who is Brody Sweeney?
Brody Sweeney is an Irish businessman, known for founding O'Briens Irish Sandwich Bars which went into Liquidation in October 2009. The Irish business was subsequently bought from the liquidator by Abrakebabra Investments Ltd. Prior to that he was involved with the franchise Prontoprint before selling the business back to the U.K. parent in 1988. He is a director of Paddy Power and has written two business guides, Making Bread and "Small to Tall" - How to grow your business from its entrepreneurial roots". He founded a Thai cuisine takeaway business, Camile Thai Kitchen, in 2010 with branches in Dublin, Ireland.
Sweeney was briefly and unsuccessfully involved in national politics. He was a Fine Gael candidate for Dublin North–East in the 2007 general election, where he garnered 3,400 first preference votes, but was beaten by Terence Flanagan for the seat.
