Who is Bruce Frisko?

Bruce Frisko, born October 19, 1965, is a co-anchor of CTV Atlantic's news magazine CTV News at 5. Frisko also anchors weekday editions of CTV News at 11:30 p.m. and has been the anchor of that newscast since 1998.

Frisko hails from Lestock Saskatchewan. He began working in television in Alberta, following two years on the Regina radio scene. In 1995, Frisko made the move to ASN, where he began his Maritime broadcasting career as the co-anchor of Atlantic Pulse.

When Atlantic Pulse ended its run in 1997, Bruce stayed on as the anchor for ATV Headline News, a series of half-hour newscasts that were scheduled throughout ASN's weekday program schedule. Frisko also anchored news updates on ASN's Breakfast Television during this time. In 1998, all ATV Headline News newscasts were cancelled and only the noon and late evening newscasts remained. Those newscasts were renamed ATV News at Noon and ATV News Nightside. Frisko became anchor of the late-evening newscast which was renamed ATV News Nightside. That newscast aired and continues to air on both CTV Atlantic and A Atlantic. In 2003, he was named co-host of CTV Atlantic's news magazine program Live at 5.
