Who is Carlos Alzugaray Treto?

Dr. Carlos Alzugaray Treto is a Cuban diplomat and educator.

He studied at the International Division of Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan, from 1959–1961 and at the University of Havana from 1961-1965. He has a Bachelor's degrees in Diplomacy and History of Cuba; a Master's degree in Contemporary History and a Ph.D. in Historical Sciences, all from the University of Havana. His Ph.D. dissertation was on the Eisenhower Administration's policy towards the Cuban Revolution 1958-1961.

Since 1980 he has been on the faculty of the Instituto Superior de Relaciones Internacionales Raúl Roa García. At the same time, he has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Havana.
