Who is Carol Royle?

Carol Royle is an English actress.

Born in Blackpool, Royle studied drama at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Her father, Derek Royle, was also an actor, as is her sister Amanda. She is known for her role as Jenny Russell in the BBC sitcom Life Without George which ran for three series from 1987 to 1989, as well as her role in ITV1's 1960s based drama Heartbeat, in which she plays Patricia Brewster. Other television shows Royle has appeared in are, Blake's 7, The Professionals, Bergerac, Cribb, Crossroads, The Outsider, Casualty, The Cedar Tree, Ladies in Charge, Blackeyes, Crime Traveller, The Bill and Doctors.

Trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. The Breadwinner, Connie in Come Blow Your Horn and Ginny in Relatively Speaking, Harrogate. Ophelia for John Barton, The Maid’s Tragedy for Barry Kyle, Cressida in Troilus and Cressida, Princess of France in Love’s Labour’s Lost, both for Terry Hands, and Mrs Arbuthnot in A Woman of No Importance for Philip Prowse, all Royal Shakespeare Company. Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Regents Park, Kate in Old Times, May in Fay Weldon’s The Four Alice Backers for Bill Alexander, Birmingham Repertory Company.
