Who is Catherine Mayer?
Catherine Mayer is an American author and journalist. Her book Amortality: The Pleasures and Perils of Living Agelessly was first published in 2011 by Vermilion, an imprint of Random House and has been translated into Chinese, Korean, Italian and Lithuananian. She is Editor at Large at TIME, where she has also served as Europe Editor, London Bureau Chief and Senior Editor. She has worked as a foreign correspondent at the German news weekly Focus and started her career at The Economist.
She was President of the Foreign Press Association in London from June 2003 until June 2005. Mayer is married to Andy Gill of Gang of Four. Her sister is The Young Ones writer Lise Mayer.
