Who is Cindy Day?

Cindy Day is a broadcast meteorologist at CTV Atlantic in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Before her move to CTV, Cindy Day remained one of the longest serving personalities at Global Maritimes, appearing on weekday newscasts with anchor Allan Rowe.

Day, a native of Ontario, was employed as a meteorological equipment technichian at Environment Canada before she joined Global in the 1990s.

On September 5, 2007, Day was identified as the successor to popular meteorologist Peter Coade on CTV Atlantic. Coade left CTV and announced a move to CBC Television the previous week after a combined 17 years with ASN and CTV.

On October 29, 2007 Day received an email containing the threat that she would be killed live on-air. A man was later charged with sending the threatening email, but he was not convicted.
