Who was Claude Green?
Claude Green was a man from the city of Welch, West Virginia, who died of a heart attack; he is survived by his mother, three sisters, brother, and son. The circumstances surrounding his death have led to a lawsuit being filed by the American Civil Liberties Union, acting on behalf of Mr. Green's family, against the police officer who attended, Police Chief Robert "Bobby" Bowman. Mr. Green was with a friend, Billy Snead, when he suffered the heart attack. According to the ACLU website, the lawsuit was filed on the following grounds:
