Who is Daniel M. Buechlein?

Daniel Mark Buechlein, OSB is a Benedictine monk and an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as the third Bishop of Memphis from 1987 until he was appointed the fifth Archbishop of Indianapolis from July 14, 1992 until his early resignation, resulting from inclement health, was accepted by Pope Benedict XVI on September 21 2011. Auxiliary Bishop Christopher J. Coyne served as the Apostolic Administrator until October 18, 2012 when Pope Benedict appointed Joseph William Tobin, C.Ss.R. Archbishop-Elect of Indianapolis.
