Who is David S Barlow?
David Barlow is chairman of McLean Hospital, a global leader in psychiatric treatment,
research, and education. He is also the former chairman and CEO of Molecular Insight
Pharmaceuticals Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing innovative
molecular imaging pharmaceuticals and targeted radiotherapeutics for cancer.
With more than 30 years of service in the global biopharmaceutical industry, Mr. Barlow
has focused on building high-performance companies that develop and market novel
products in the U.S. and international markets. Mr. Barlow was previously president,
pharmaceuticals, Sepracor Inc. and led the turnaround of Rhone-Poulenc Rorer’s global
Armour Pharmaceutical Division. He also has held management positions in business
development, planning, and marketing for Rorer Group, Pfizer Inc., and the ARES
Serono Group.
Mr. Barlow serves as a trustee of Bates College and Newton Country Day School. He is
also a member of the president’s council at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and
advises several research centers within the MGH family.
Mr. Barlow earned his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and his
BA from Bates College.
