Who is Donna M. Hughes?

Donna M. Hughes is a University of Rhode Island professor of women's studies and a leading international researcher on human trafficking, She is frequently consulted by governments and non-governmental organizations on policy related to women's human rights, particularly on trafficking of women and girls for sexual exploitation. She has testified before the U.S. House International Relations Committee, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the Moscow Duma, and the Czech Parliament.

Hughes has written extensively on the prevalence of these issues of exploitation of women within Islamic Fundamentalism
