Who is Elmer G. Gilbert?
Elmer G. Gilbert is an American aerospace engineer and a Professor Emeritus of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan. He received his Ph.D. in mathematics from Michigan in 1957.
He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and a recipient of the 1994 IEEE Control Systems Award and the 1996 Richard E. Bellman Control Heritage Award from the American Automatic Control Council.
