Who is Etty Sommer?
Etty joined Vringo in February 2007, as director of Support and
Customer Care. She brings with her over 8 years of support experience
in the telecom and wireless industry, product development and quality
assurance.
She most recently served as the head of the Quality division at IWS,
an Israeli governmental program. She played a number of key roles
including leading the QA team, developing internal regulations and
support for the IWS teams.
Previously, Etty served as Director of Quality and Support Services
at EarthLink (Nasdaq:ELNK) where she was responsible for developing and
delivering wireless service support for the EarthLink teams and call
centers.
Etty was also a Senior Manager at OmniSky Corporation (Nasdaq:OMNY),
one of the pioneers in the wireless data applications, software and
service sectors. At OmniSky, she was responsible for building the
global training process for mobile services for Verizon Wireless, AOL
and others. Etty began her telecom career at NomadIQ, a wireless
Location Based Services company acquired by OmniSky.
Prior to OmniSky, Etty was the Founder and CEO of Tovna, a
customized training company, providing support and training to a
variety of organizations. She managed a training and support team of 20
employees that delivered tailored support services to Tovna's clients.
