Who is Eunice Yoon?

Eunice Yoon is Senior Correspondent at CNBC and host of the network's monthly program "Inside China". Yoon is based out of CNBC's bureau in Beijing where she reports on the people and the trends shaping the world's second largest economy.

Yoon has interviewed numerous newsmakers while documenting the rise of China and its influence across the global economic and geopolitical landscape. She has reported on the transition of power to President Xi Jinping's administration, the country's economic challenges, as well as the lifestyles of the super wealthy and China's poor. She has also investigated the wave of protests triggered by grassroots discontent, the government crackdown on activists in the wake of the Arab Spring, and the complicated relationship between China and neighbor North Korea.

Throughout her career, Yoon has reported on many major news events. She was one of the first journalists to reach the Sichuan earthquake zone in 2008. She reported on issues surrounding the Beijing Olympics. Her reports on the Asian tsunami in 2004 ensured she was part of the team that won a prestigious DuPont Award.

Prior to CNBC, she was with CNN International for eight years where she was Asia Business Editor and Correspondent based in Beijing and Hong Kong. Yoon has anchored and reported for other news organizations, including Voice of America, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and YTN of South Korea.
