Who was Fabolon Blaise?
Fabolon Blaise was a Haitian painter. Born in Cap-Haïtien, Blaise first painted landscapes before focusing on historical scenes inspired by folklore and vodou. He died at the age of 28 as the result of a mistreated stomach ulcer.
Blaise's older brothers, Saint-Louis and Serge Moléon, were also noted painters, as is his younger brother Andre.
