Who is Fergal Ryan?
Fergal Ryan is an Irish hurler who played as a right corner-back for the Cork senior team.
Ryan made his first appearance for the team during the 1995 and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 2002 championship. During that time he won one All-Ireland medal, two Munster medals, one National Hurling League medal and one All-Star award.
At club level Ryan was a three-time county club championship medalist with Blackrock. He lined out with the Blackrock senior squad until he announced his retirement from playing after the 2013 season. In the 2013 Cork Senior Hurling League, Fergal Ryan lined out on the same team as his son Jamie.
