Who was Fernand Demets?
Fernand Charles Gustave Demets was a Belgian liberal politician, burgomaster and minister. Demets was industrialist and became municipality Council member and burgomaster in Anderlecht and liberal senator in the district Brussels. Demets was co-president of the Liberal Party. He was minister of defense in 1944-1945 and became afterwards governor of the province of Brabant.
