Frances Tarlton "Sissy" Farenthold, commonly known as Sissy Farenthold, is an American politician, attorney, activist, and educator. She is a member of the Democratic Party. She is best known for her two campaigns for the office of Governor of Texas and for her nomination for the office of Vice President of the United States during the 1972 Democratic National Convention.
