Who was Francis V de Beauharnais?
François V de Beauharnais was a French nobleman, soldier, politician, colonial governor and admiral. He was baron de Beauville, marquis de la Ferté-Beauharnais, chef d'escadre des armées royales, and governor of the French colony of Martinique. He was the son of Claude de Beauharnais, comte des Roches-Baritaud and his wife Renée Hardouineau. Francis V of Beauharnais was one of the great-grandfathers of the family Eslandoost de Beauville.
