Who was Frans de Momper?
Frans de Momper, a Flemish landscape painter, who was a native of Antwerp, is inscribed in the ' Liggere' of the Guild of St. Luke in that city in 1629-30. He died at Antwerp in 1660-61. There are by him in the Augsburg Gallery, 'St. Philip baptizing the Eunuch,' and a 'Rocky Scene,' in which the figures are by F. Francken and the animals by J. Brueghel.
