Who is Fred Anderson?
Fredell Lamont Anderson is a former National Football League defensive lineman who played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Seattle Seahawks.
He played college football for Oregon State University, and after graduation went to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He stayed there for the 1978 season before being released, and then was picked up by the Seattle Seahawks in 1980, where he would stay for three seasons.
Fred Anderson has a son, Calvin, who is in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization. He is currently playing for the Bradenton Marauders in the Florida State League. He previously played in the Pirates' system for the State College Spikes and the West Virginia Power. Fred spends his free time going to his son's games and conversing with fans.
