Who is Fred Lynn?
Fredric Michael "Fred" Lynn is a former center fielder in Major League Baseball who played for the Boston Red Sox, California Angels, Baltimore Orioles, Detroit Tigers and San Diego Padres. He is best known for being the first player to win the Rookie of the Year award and MVP in the same season.
Lynn was inducted into the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame in 2002 and to the College Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007.
