Who was Frederic L. Chapin?
Frederic Lincoln Chapin was a United States diplomat. He was the ambassador to Ethiopia and Guatemala. He was also the United States Ambassador to Chad ad interim from January 1961 to May 1961, preceded by W. Wendell Blancke and succeeded by John A. Calhoun. He was the son of Selden Chapin, United States ambassador to the Netherlands, Peru and Iran.
