Who was Frederick Lauer?
Frederick Lauer was a brewer in the United States and the first president of the United States Brewers Association.
He was born on October 14, 1810 in Gleisweiler, Bavaria. He emigrated to Baltimore in 1822, and the family moved to Reading, Pennsylvania. His two sons were Frank P. Lauer; and George F. Lauer and he turned the business over to them in 1882. He died on September 12, 1883.
