Who was Fujiwara no Moromichi?

Fujiwara no Moromichi, son of Morozane, was a kugyo during the late Heian period. He was a head of the Fujiwara clan and served as kampaku and udaijin. He was also known as Go-nijyo dono or Nijyo-kampaku. Though he assisted Emperor Horikawa against the cloistered rule of the then-retired Emperor Shirakawa, he died young at age of 38, which led Shirakawa to consolidate his power.
