Who is Gal Mekel?
Gal Mekel is an Israeli professional basketball player who currently plays for the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA. He is 6 ft 3 in tall, and plays at the Point guard position. He played college basketball for two years at Wichita State. After College he won the Israeli Super League twice, and was also named twice as the Israeli League MVP.
On July 2, 2013, it was reported that Mekel agreed to sign with the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA for the 2013–14 season. On July 11, the Mavericks officially signed Mekel, becoming only the second Israeli to join the NBA.
