Who is Gary Chevsky?

Gary Chevsky was the founding architect of Ask.com. He immigrated to the United States in 1988 and settled in San Francisco, California.

From 1995 to 2006, Gary worked on question answering and information-retrieval technologies at Ask Jeeves.

Gary is currently a Vice President of Engineering at Tango mobile video and audio-over-IP calling service for consumers.

From 2009 to 2011, he served as Vice President of Product Development, Operations & IT for YouSendIt. Prior to that, he was a Vice President of Engineering at Symantec Corporation in its Consumer Business Unit, developing the next generation of web security technologies, such as Norton Safe Web.

Gary holds 4 patents #7403938, 7639162, 7911362, and 7912634, and has another pending #20070078842 in the area of natural language processing and search / information retrieval. He is featured in the Search Engine exhibit in the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, CA.
