Who is Gary Kaltbaum?
Gary Kaltbaum is an American investment advisor and author based in Orlando, Florida and Scottsdale, Arizona. He has a syndicated radio show, Investor's Edge and is a frequent financial commentator on Fox News, particularly on Neil Cavuto's Your World with Neil Cavuto. He has written a book, The Investor's Edge, and is currently working on a new title, No Help From Wall Street.
Gary has a track record of correctly identifying market trends, but is perhaps most famous for a series of warnings he gave suggesting financial moves that ultimately ended up sparing the money he manages the ravages of the late 2000s recession. The warnings started in January 2007 when Gary spoke out about the condition of financial stocks and ended in July 2008 with his disclosure that he was 100% in cash due to an impending collapse of commodities. Each time, he strongly advised his listeners to follow his lead. When originally made, these calls were considered by many mainstream financial experts to be all but laughable, but they eventually proved to be extremely prescient.
