Who is Gary Chartrand?
Gary Theodore Chartrand is an American-born mathematician who specializes in graph theory. He earned his B. S. from Michigan State University, where he majored in mathematics and minored in physical sciences and foreign languages. Michigan State University also awarded him a Master of Science and a PhD for his work in graph theory in 1964. He has authored several books on the subject and is currently a professor emeritus of mathematics at Western Michigan University.
